HUGH BUTTERFIELD says that after 8 years of living in northern Colorado, Hugh is just tickled to be joining Openstage. He worked at both Midtown Arts Center and Boulder Dinner Theater before COVID, and has performed in 16 productions at Candlelight Dinner Playhouse; favorites include The Scarlet Pimpernel, Crazy For You, and Oklahoma. Hugh received his BFA in Acting from the University of Montana, and occasionally returns to perform in productions like Gutenberg! The Musical at UM Western; or to visit his old stomping grounds at the Virginia City Opera House, indulging in melodrama and vaudeville. He is also a certified Actor Combatant with Dueling Arts International, and works as a Fight Choreographer and Lighting Designer for theaters across the front range.
