CALVIN MCCONNELL has recently debuted with both Bas Bleu on stage as Gibson and Scratchy the Cat Demon in Mr. Burns: A Post Electric Play and then backstage with OpenStage as quick change and blood squib/scrambled egg artist extraordinaire in Misery. Before this year, he spent the last several years performing and announcing for the Fort Collins Figure Skating Club’s annual ice show as well as competing in Showcase Figure Skating events at the national level. He is the 2024 National Adult Bronze Character Champion for his portrayal of King George from Hamilton and returned this year to the podium as the Adult Silver Emotional Bronze medalist as Orpheus from Hadestown. In his pursuit of acting and performing professionally, he has taken the Denver Center for the Performing Arts Introduction to Acting adult class series and has filmed at least a hundred hours of character impersonations, monologues, and dramatic book readings. He has found he is happiest performing and telling stories through acting, so that’s exactly what he’s striving to do.
