Do You Have Your Tickets for Our Midsummer “Fun-Raiser”?

There are fundraisers and then there are “fun-raisers.” OpenStage Theatre & Company’s Midsummer Celebration, on Sunday, June 14, from 3 to 7 p.m., at the Center for Creativity in Fort Collins, will indeed provide essential financial support for the company’s 54th season. But it’s also shaping up to be one of the most theatrical, musical, magical, whimsical and gastronomical gatherings of the year!

Here’s what’s happening on the day:

A Sneak Preview of OpenStage’s upcoming season. Company members will share short scenes from the plays selected for the 2026-2027 season.

Music by Colorado-based, “mushroom pop” band Vivian Oblivion to set the mood.

Seasonal hors d’oeuvres provided by Bistro Nautile, beer and wine from Odell Brewing, and delicious boozy and non-alcoholic cocktails by Seed & Spirit Distilling. (Two drink tickets are included in the price of admission.)

Guests can dress up their Midsummer whites with colorful flower crowns! Select one ready to wear or make your own, and have our caricaturist capture the look.

Local muralist Chris Bates will render the festivities as they unfold in a painting to be auctioned off during the event.

Tarot Readings by Brynna Herberger and Bone Throws by Ricky Tru will reveal what the future holds.

Local poet Andrew Bohn will take your theme and create an original poem on the spot. Or you can hire a squire to do your bidding and send someone “special” a Shakespearean flirt or hurt. 

Merrymaking will abound with characters from Midsummer Night’s Dream, Puck’s Wheel of Fate, a wishing well, and an authentic Midsummer Maypole.

And there’s more!

Take home something special from our curated Silent Auction chock full of locally sourced art, experiences and treasures. A live auction will feature Chris Bates’ art, a gorgeous leather reclining chair from Forma Furniture, a private backyard wine party for 12 by Chef Brent Jackson of little on Mountain, and 7 nights of Island Paradise on your choice of Hawaiian Islands!
